Play Limits

Set the ceiling
before you need it.

Last reviewed 18 Aug 2026 Five sections Edition 34

The house edge is printed on every game. The time you spend is not. Decide the number first — the tools below will hold you to it.

1

Gambling is entertainment you pay for

Every game here is built to return less than it takes, on average and over time. That is how the business works and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Treat what you stake as the price of the evening, not as an investment with a bad month.

Play with a budget you can afford to lose, and set it before you sit down. If losing the amount in front of you would change your week, the amount is wrong — lower it before you play, not after.

It is not an income, and it is not a way to win back what a bad night cost.

2

The tools, and what they do

All four sit under Play Limits inside your account. All four are free, none of them requires a conversation with support, and each takes effect the moment you save it.

Play limits · effect and reversal
ToolWhat it doesTo relax it
Deposit limitCaps what you can pay in per day, week or month.24-hour delay
Time-outLocks the account for 1, 7, 30 or 90 days.Not before it ends
Reality checkInterrupts play at your chosen interval with time and net position.Immediate
Self-exclusionCloses the account for 6 months, 1 year or permanently.Never, early

Tightening a limit is always instant. Loosening one is deliberately slow — a limit you can lift in the moment isn’t a limit.

3

Signs worth noticing

None of these means the worst on its own. Two or three together is a reason to use section 2.

  • Playing longer than you meant to, most times you play.
  • Depositing again straight after a loss to level the score.
  • Staking more to feel the same thing you used to feel for less.
  • Playing to fix a mood rather than to pass an evening.
  • Being vague with people close to you about time or spending.
  • Borrowing, or moving a budget you had set aside for something else.
  • Skipping sleep, work or plans to keep playing.
  • Relief when a session is interrupted for you.

Getting help

Free, confidential support services for people worried about their gambling exist almost everywhere, and most run a helpline, a live chat and an anonymous self-assessment you can take in ten minutes. Many also support family members, which matters if the person you are worried about is not you.

We deliberately don’t print a single number here, because the right service depends on where you are. Search for a national gambling support service where you live, or ask our support team to point you at one — they will, without asking why, and without it touching your account.

You can pause or close your account at any moment, before, during or after that conversation. Nothing you say to support removes that option, and using it does not forfeit the balance you deposited.

5

Protecting minors

Nobody under 18 may hold an account or play here, and we verify age before the first withdrawal. Accounts opened by anyone underage are closed and the deposits returned.

If children share your devices: don’t save the password, log out rather than closing the tab, and consider filtering software that blocks gambling sites at the device level. Keep the payment methods on your account off any device a child can use unsupervised.
